“Al Ain® Académie was born in 2022 from the love of two brothers for art and travel. They couldn’t have been more different from each other, but this interplay of opposites and talents materialized in their first joint project. During a trip to Morocco, the two fell passionately in love with Marrakech.The city profoundly influenced their creativity, particularly inspiring them in the exploration and study of colors.
Together with their grandfather, who still crafts high-fashion clothing, they decided to create the first piece starting from a Moroccan tradition cushion purchased during a trip.
They chose to cut that handcrafted fabric and sew it onto the back of a sweatshirt, giving life to the first Al Ain® piece. The name Al Ain Académie, besides being one of the two brothers’ names, also pays homage to the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, which, along with their hometown, shaped their artistic education.
Al Ain Académie collections carry the colonial atmosphere and draw inspiration from numerous Berber carpets, fine wooden furnishings, and Moorish architecture. The creative frenzy, inspired by a nomadic palette of colors, combined with the attention to detail of Venetian tailoring, brings forth timeless pieces entirely made in Italy, with an unexpectedly contemporary touch.”
